4

Forced App Usage

Users are unhappy about being forced to use the app for check-ins and bookings, especially when the app is unreliable. This issue affects approximately 10% of users, who express frustration over the lack of web-based alternatives.

Major Highlights of the Week

Payment Issues
Users face difficulties with payment processing, including declined credit cards despite sufficient funds and inability to change currency settings, leading to overcharges. This creates a barrier to completing bookings and causes frustration.
I attempted to book a flight, but my credit card was repeatedly declined despite sufficient funds.
Mandatory App Use
The app forces users to download and use it for check-ins, which is inconvenient for those who prefer web check-ins or have limited device storage. This mandatory requirement is seen as an unnecessary hurdle.
Forcing me to install an app just to check in to my flight is beyond ridiculous.
Passport Scanning
The app requires passport scanning for check-ins, but the scanner often fails, and there's no option to input information manually. This is particularly problematic for users assisting less tech-savvy relatives.
The new app is requiring the passport of the passenger to be scanned, however many people check in their older family members remotely.
Frequent Updates
Frequent mandatory updates disrupt user experience, as the app often requires updates before use, leading to frustration and decreased usability. This frequent updating is seen as excessive and unnecessary.
Seriously this new Volaris 2.0 app sucks it updates almost every day it's so annoying.
Server Connectivity
Users frequently encounter server connectivity issues, preventing them from accessing the app or completing tasks like booking and check-in. This unreliability undermines the app's core functionality.
The app doesn't display my flight information, receiving error message 'unexpected error occurred could not connect to server'.
Data Transfer Failures
The transition to the new app version has resulted in loss of user data, such as saved flights and personal information, causing inconvenience and requiring users to re-enter information.
Forced to install new version of app and not only has it lost/failed to transfer all my upcoming flights, but it won't accept my surname when trying to restore them to the account.

The Volaris 2.0 app is a major improvement! The interface is modern, easy to navigate, and booking flights is seamless. It runs smoothly with fast loading times and helpful features. This app is completely unreliable. Every time I try to open it, I get an 'unexpected error' and it can’t connect to the server. I haven’t been able to buy tickets at all, which is incredibly frustrating. This airline has gone downhill over the years, and now their app doesn’t even function. If this is the level of service they’re offering, I’ll be booking with their competitors from now on.

I really enjoyed Volaris:2. It’s a big improvement from the first version. Everything felt smoother, better organized, and more user-friendly. The design is clean, and it’s easy to find what you need. I also noticed faster performance and fewer issues compared to before. What stood out most was the attention to detail. It feels like the creators really listened to feedback and worked hard to make it better. Whether you’re new or returning, Volaris:2 is definitely worth checking out. Recommend
