The app showed the bike at 100% battery, but it died after a few blocks.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

I've had multiple experiences where the bike says 100% or above 60% and it turns on, great! And then, 2 or 3 blocks later it will completely shut off or the throttle will stop working. And does Veo give me another ride or credits to replace that? Nope… because I should’ve checked that the bike was working??? It was working and then it randomly stops, lights shut off or the lights are on and the throttle is completely useless. This is their dumb reply when you try to get credit back. Oh, and a few times too I will check on the app and it will say the bike has 0%. Zero percent! And after showing that to customer service I always get this dumb reply. “Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, this ride is not eligible for a refund or adjustment, as it left its starting location. Only rides that do not leave their starting location are eligible for a refund or adjustment.” Veo, you are terrible. I’m going to use the rest of my ride credits, about $15 and leave your unreliable bikes and terrible customer service. TLDR: Veo bikes are unreliable if you need a reliable service I honestly recommend Lime. I have never had a single issue with Lime. This is a review for Bronx, NYC

Tried using VEO scooters with my girlfriend and had a terrible experience. The app never showed clear pricing, and we were charged immediately—even while struggling to get the scooters working. After canceling the ride, we were only given VEO credit, which is useless since we live in San Diego where VEO scooters aren’t available. Basically, we paid to push around broken scooters. Save yourself the hassle—just rent from a local shop. They’re more reliable and transparent.

The scooter do not work and still charge money. I have lost upwards of $20 on scooters that don’t work
