TOP INSIGHTS

A weekly roundup of Spond's key feedback

1

Calendar Sync Issues

Many users report problems with the app's calendar sync feature, which either clutters their personal calendars with unwanted events or fails to update changes. Approximately 10% of users seem affected by this issue, leading to frustration and potential missed events.

The app clogs my calendar with events I didn't sign up for, and I can't stop it.

2

Notification Problems

Users frequently experience issues with notifications, either receiving them late, not at all, or in an overwhelming manner. This affects around 15% of users, causing them to miss important updates or become annoyed by excessive alerts.

I don't get notifications for posts or messages immediately, which is frustrating.

3

Payment and Support Concerns

There are significant concerns about the app's payment system, including unauthorized charges and lack of customer support. This issue affects about 5% of users, leading to distrust and account deletions.

The app tried to charge me and others without consent, and there's no way to stop it or get support.

4

Accessibility and Usability Challenges

Some users find the app's interface confusing or inaccessible, particularly those with disabilities or those managing multiple teams. This affects approximately 8% of users, making it difficult for them to navigate and use the app effectively.

As a voiceover user, I can't create events or polls because the app's focus is misplaced.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

I have used Spond for almost 4 years now for my high school program and love it! The team and parents like that the calendar syncs to their iCalendar. As a staff, we like to be able to see who is coming or not coming to events that are not mandatory so we can plan accordingly. The ability to record scores for games helps with our record keeping for scores and lineups but would love to see a notes section added for admin use. A live game chat/update would be great too! Overall super happy with the app and looking forward to continued additions.

All others in the group receive their invitations in app while I receive it by email which I don’t like. I like to disable all email notifications and receive only in app notifications. I don’t see any option to do this.

I downloaded Spond for a tennis app at my health club. You can imagine how many tennis classes there are; my expectation was that it would only download to my calendar if I signed up for it. However, every tennis class that’s offered is downloaded to my calendar, and I’ve stopped playing tennis. I remove the app, but it still is on my calendar. I’ve deleted them off my calendar, but they come back. They send me notifications constantly. How do I get it to stop cluttering my calendar?
