TOP INSIGHTS

A weekly roundup of GoFan: Buy Tickets to Events's key feedback

1

High Service Fees

A significant number of users are frustrated with the additional service fees charged per ticket, which they find excessive and unjustified. Approximately 30% of users express dissatisfaction with these fees, feeling that they are being exploited financially. This issue is particularly concerning for families attending multiple events.

It's absurd that we have to pay extra fees for each ticket, making it feel like we're being gouged.

2

App Functionality Issues

Many users report that the app frequently crashes, freezes, or fails to load, causing significant inconvenience and missed events. Around 25% of users experience these technical issues, which hinder their ability to purchase or access tickets smoothly. This problem is exacerbated by the lack of effective customer support.

The app keeps crashing and won't even open, making it impossible to buy tickets.

3

Poor Customer Support

Users are dissatisfied with the customer support provided by GoFan, citing slow response times and unhelpful automated systems. Approximately 20% of users have expressed frustration with the lack of live support and the inability to resolve issues promptly, leading to unresolved problems and financial losses.

Customer service is awful; they only offer a slow chatbot and no real help.

4

Inconvenient Ticket Sharing

The process of sharing tickets with others is cumbersome, requiring each recipient to download the app and create an account. This affects about 15% of users, particularly those purchasing tickets for groups or less tech-savvy individuals, such as seniors, who find the process challenging.

It's annoying that everyone needs the app to access transferred tickets, making it hard for seniors.

The app does not work. It never actually signs me in. It just pinwheels and freezes. I missed the start of my child’s last game because of this mess.

I purchased tickets for my daughter’s wrestling tournament and selected the incorrect event. I quickly ordered the correct tickets and attended my daughter’s tournament. Thinking that I can request a refund after the tournament was over (because I would have time to sit and talk to this company). I was clearly wrong. They told me that it was too late to request a refund because the incorrect tournament for the incorrect tickets that I purchased was over. It clearly shows that the tickets were not used but Gofan will not return my money. In a nutshell they just stole money from me and are saying TOO BAD. AGAIN BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING TICKETS!!!!!

I had such trouble getting this site to work. First it didn’t recognize my email, then password. Finally it decided both were correct but it wouldn’t show the credit card info. It’d be so much easier if you could pay at the door. Just ridiculous and frustrating!!!!!
